Visual ID for Brazil's Biodiversity

Representing all biomes with one image

Brazil's environmental agency was splitting in two, the original one would be in charge of fighting against environmental crimes, and the new one would be in charge of the protection areas. They needed a logo for this new institution that reflected all the different areas that they protect. The process included visits and interview with people that worked in the protection of different areas (a Quilombola community in São Paulo, the Iguaçu Falls, one of the most visited parks of the country, were among the visited places). We decided to make a logo that would be consisted of circles, which represent nature in their different scales and diversity of ecosystems.
